Now it's my turn!

I am so enjoying the process of putting together the colours for my first ever quilt. It is going to be just like Mum's and I have been waking up early to spend time in the shed before work. I am back at work again now - it has been so nice to have time off, but probably  about time  I was back! 100_1669_1

Here is a bit of the amazing floor Geoff and his workshop made. Now here is a pattern for a quilt Mum!

Katie - Your quilt is going to be so beautiful! I love the one your mom did, and the colors you chose are just perfect! What will you be backing it with? Good luck with sewing all those straight lines! *shudder*

I havn't thought about backing yet - I'm a bit daunted by the construction process! it's very obsessive isn't it!

hello mother- had v nice time in the big city of London- V&A and a good look round camden market. much work to be done back here in bristol- arabic is very daunting with attractive man from oxford.
I realise this says nothing about your blog, which it should- so- good blog mum. well done- back of the net etc etc. Hows that nice brother of mine??

Just remember that although Mum has made a lot of quilts the first one will always be my favourite. I well remember Mum saying so many times...'I wish I could make a quilt.' Being Mum she got books from the library and eventually had everything to hand in order to make a start. It was slow, painstaking work but we both loved to see it taking shape. All this is my way of saying that you will always love that first wonderful quilt. As will all those who love you.
