Coconut!
Geoff brought three of these home from Justin the fruit and veg man
Owen accepted the challenge to render it edible
doesn't every kitchen cupboard have a saw in it?
This was deilcious - we planned to cook the rice in it for the curry we were going to make with the coconut. We didn't, but we really meant to!
The flesh was soft and mild, not the hard chewy stuff that comes out of the coconuts we are used to
easy to scoop and we just ate it right then, no curry later, just soft and smooth and very mild coconut snack! Lovely.
helloooooo mull, this looks like a fine coconut, very fine. was in durban and they found a coconut on the beach. i ate some but it was a few days old. sltill better then a month old. can not wait to be seein u.

I think I was with Geoff when he saw these.....well I would never have guessed they were coconuts but having seen Owen's masterly treatment of it I can only say.....I wish I'd also been there when you were eating it. It looks scrumptious.

It looks like you were about to eat a little bird box. That brought back lovely memories for me. That soft fleh is nothing like the hard stuff you snap off from supermarket buys. I hope the person with the saw was wearing protective clothing and safety goggles. I'm glad ours is not the only kitchen with garage implements.
