Juggling Balls

A blissful day in the shed today, finishing more things to take to this little craft fair next weekend - my first outing as a maker of things. Today I made little drawstring bags for the sets of juggling balls I made last week. Each ball is felted around a golf ball for weight, then tied into a pair of old tights and washed in the machine with the jeans. The golf ball gives them a good shape and they feel nice and heavy to juggle with - only wish I could juggle!

OK thats enough about fridges

I can't believe the mix up I caused with that fridge post. No - we haven't got a new fridge, no we aren't getting a new fridge, yes the old one works perfectly, but if all my wishes came true I would have a pink fridge. But I'm not really that bothered, I just need to keep my cheese cool.
End of fridge chat! (nip over and see Islaygirls fridge - it's lovely!)

Today it is beautiful, sunny, frosty, cold and still. Just back from a walk in the woods with Poppy who chased a deer and several rabbits. She never catches them. I'm not sure what she would do if ever she did. Try to round them up I suppose as she is sheepdog through and through.

The treehouse looks wonderful in this light. I'd like to show you round. It doubles as our spare room, so if ever you are in the neighbourhood.....

Geoff made the treehouse when the kids were small. He used second hand wood, old windows from here and there and a mixture of bits and pieces. It was their den where friends could play and sleep overnight. We even had a pulley with a bucket to transport food from the house. But as they grew up it deteriorated until it was a bit of a cold smelly mess.
A few years ago, we had a student from Prague staying for the summer and Michal upgraded it to it's present sate. So now it is insulated and re-roofed and even has a proper bridge over the ditch!
We painted it and made curtains and shelves and the platform that can be a sofa or a bed.
