Easter Egg Rolling
Every year, we walk up the hill opposite our house and roll decorated eggs down it. We've done it for years - since the kids were babies. Whatever the weather and whoever is visiting - off we go. This year was the most low key ever as there were only three of us and it was hastily done between being busy and going out, but it was unthinkable to have Easter without it.
Martha won, if you count 'least damage to egg' as winning. The only time anyone ever got their egg down to the bottom of the hill intact was when Owen was two in a backpack on my back and he held his egg in his hand all the way down.
This is the cake stand from Making Stuff, a very inspirational book.

Looks like great fun!

What a nice tradition. Never done egg rolling. We used to hide all the chocolate eggs in the garden when Jamie and Sophie were small.

The cake stand is brilliant, plates and galsses ! How did you secure the plates to the glasses, or are they just balancing on one another ?
