Mice
We have been setting the humane mouse traps as we have a bit of unnerving scratching in the odd corner. I use chocolate as it works every time. This morning Owen said
if you put down caviare would the mice eat it, or take it to their King?

EEK where's ther'e one there is probably a family. One Spring we caught a baby who ate the peanut butter cracker and crawled right out of our humane trap so we got one with smaller wire and caught the whole family...16!!!! I still can't believe it. They loved raisins and peanut butter on a cracker. After collecting them in an aquarium we rreleased them far away in a wooded area. Better they become owl food then eat ours. Good luck.

that must have been one big trap - -ours only have room for one! I like the sound of your family round up - my Dad always says 'if you have one mouse you have 100!' HELP!

I have heard peanut butter is irresistible to mice. Good luck with those pesky meeces.

Have you tried the Hugh F-W method of politely asking them to leave, burning sage leaves and sending loving thoughts? He swore by it! I have the same problem, but with a couple of Greater Leopard Slugs - who really, really like my kitchen!

I love that last option! I have some sage leaves too - I am not unkindly disposed towards them, I just don't want them in my house - especially when they have such rich pickings elsewhere on the farm. Sage leaves and loving kindness it is then!
