Be careful what you say 'Yes' to
oh what a busy busy time. I managed everything on my 'to do' list with a few extras thrown in..... a surprise visit from Lucy
and her three kids who I put to work shamelessly - shaking mats and
plumping pillows. Great workers and I didn't even offer them a glass of
juice! I am a bad hostess. But a busy one.
The weaving exhibition
is all packed up and on its way home. If you count success by visitor
numbers then it was a success. If you count success by lively comments
in the visitors book then it was a success. If you count it by the
numbers of lovely people who I got a chance to reconnect with - then it
worked on that level too. All good.
The civil partnership celebrations were terrific. The right people won the Frisbee golf with no cheating at all...
this
was one of the 'holes' that the teams had to aim through - here are the
Rock Chicks getting ready to take this hole in one (well six actually)
Lee made cakes
The weather was fantastic, so we had the best party on the Station
platform. Catherine was all dressed up in her party frock, in the car
on her way. Knowing this was the first of two celebrations she would be
going to with her parents (there was a Fancy Dress Party the next day)
she said 'Mummy, can I wear my shoes to the party tomorrow?' because in
their haste to leave they had forgotten her shoes! Never mind - Patrick
to the rescue with his red wellies! She looked terrific!
Next challenge is the first Art Tour date next Sunday followed by
the Moon Walk on 16th. Trying to work out how to fit in a couple more
long walks to get my poor feet used to the idea!
Sorry for adding to your busy-ness on thursday Katie - glad the exhibition went well. We didn't make it over on Sunday because we started mucking out the garage which had been subdivided 3 years ago to make a craft room for the children (and me!) but has been stuffed full of - well, stuff - ever since. Could you tell me the link for getting blogs turned into books sometime. Thanks. Lucy
P.S. Busy making a dragon cushion for an excited little boy's birthday!

Well done on achieving your "to do" list. Looks like you had a great time. Good luck with the Moon Walk - we'll be at Queens that day watching the semis. Gosh that makes me feel guilty. :D

Good Luck with the Moonwalk - I completed the 26 miles in London a few weeks ago, second time I've done it so it can't be that bad!!!!

I love dipping in and out of your blog - I always feel like its homely, not set up for showing off, just real!!! Does that sound silly?
Great to catch up again on your beautiful life!

Isn't that just the nicest thing you ever read in a comments list? I am really really happy!
