celebrating green

It has barely stopped raining here. This morning I took the chance to take Poppy for a walk during a rare burst of sunshine. Come and have a look
This is usually a tiny trickle now rushing along with all this rain water
Puddles everywhere with clouds reflected
standard footwear these days
all this water makes for all this green!
I'm intoxicated with GREEN
This one is the shadows of the elderflower buds on the leaves! Arty eh!
Now you all know I am famous for liking pink. The previous post can have left you in no doubt about that! Pink is the corresponding heart colour to green so here is some of the pink and purple I found out and about this morning
I could post pictures all afternoon. But I'll leave you with this one
my walk back home through the woods.
Enjoying the gaps between the rain very much.

So lovely! Enjoy the rain all my green is turning brown for the lack of it here.

Great photos. The elderflower bud shadow one is my fav but I do like your snazzy wellies. When we were children my mum called them "water boots". Drove through the country this afternoon, after buying more plants, and the mud is literally running off the fields and flooding the little country lanes! One area was almost impassable.

Thanks for your visit in my blog Katie! I love your green photos, the shadows is very cool and so is the puddle one!
I also agree with you about green and pink - two colours that goes hand in hand. Here is a link for you then, some eye candy:

I wasn't an enormous fan of green until a few years ago, then it hit me and I've been in love ever since. I suppose it's one of the most "natural" colours, and even when it's dark a bright green leaf is very vivid.
The last photo is beautiful - my mother really dislikes pine forests and won't enter one if possible. I on the other hand find them soothing and mystical ~ my kinda place!

Wonderful photos. I am always amazed by the variety of greens in nature, which you have captured beautifully. Great wellies!

there is a potty amount of rain at the moment but as your photos show there is still a lot of lovely green summer trying it's best out there! fab photos and I love pink, my Fuschia has got ginormous this year compared to last so maybe it likes a wet summer - small good things amongst the wet make it almost worthwhile!

There is so much green around that we miss on a daily basis, until someone like you points out what we're missing. A lovely post, with some really lovely photos. And that touch of pink and purple to round it all off was great!

I love the picture of the woods best... fantastic - your right the rain certainly is making everthing look lush and green, unfortunately its helping the weed grow out of all proportion - love Julia x

Your photographs make the rainy weather look better than the sunshine.
