Woman's Hour!
Today the item that was recorded a couple of weeks ago was broadcast on Radio Four's Woman's Hour. I love R4 and I listen to W Hour whenever I can. It has been a long held ambition to be on this iconic programme.
Here is the link to the page and if you click on 'Listen to this item' you might be able to hear it! I'm not sure how often the BBC change their pages so it might only be there for the next week.
Today has been a lovely day.
Just listened the item on Women's Hour and am now grinning from ear to ear. It was a brilliant celebration of women finding their refuge. Well done! Do we now have to pay to get in the shed?

Oh no Katie - I can't believe I missed it. I'm going to try to listen to it online but my computer sound is dodgy - did you record it? I really hope we will all be able to come across on Sunday - the children reckon that seeing your shed again is more fun than going to their school's family fun day! That's quite a compliment! Talk soon, Lucy

What a great item on Woman's Hour. Now I know what I need to make my life complete...a garden with my very own shed!

Congrats on the program! Very fun!! Thanks for posting the link.
I am so jealous of your shed. Really. I work in the basement and though I claim the room as my studio, it doubles duty as the family room. I would love a room of my own.

That was wonderful. Thank you so much for the link. As Lindsay says and as you already know I experience deep shed envy over your little patch. And to be seen as an artist is also a deeply held ambition of mine. Well done.

Oh Katie I heard it whilst sewing and I did not realise it was you! Womens Hour is my life line - I grew up listening to it whilst my mother would do the ironing, I sew to it as it calms and inspires me and I feel like I learn alot from it. Hope the exhibition went well - green is delicious!

Congrats on the program - I just have to work out how to get my computer to play the clip - it's not co-operating right now! Will keep trying.

I am listening to you talk as I read your blog...a darling story..I now need a shed!! I will hav ene, eventually, what a sensible idea! My sewing makes so much mess round the house and adds to the chaotic way I work, if I could just go down the shed I would be fine and the house would be calmer too!

Oh I'm so glad you posted the link to this, believe it or not I switched the radio in the truck on after a drop and caught the second contributor to the piece. I listened to the rest of it and thought "bugger, I've missed Kate!!!"
Now I've heard your piece too. Lovely to meet you at Woolfest. See you again next year!

Thanks for your lovely comment! Woolfest was fab, but I'm sooo jealous of your shed! It's fantastic!!

I have just listened to this and I am so excited by the possiblities. First your interview was great. I would sooooo like to see your shed. It sounds amazing. I really like this idea of escape, to not be tempted to do other things like us women are. Oh and to come down and listen to the morning chorus, stunning. Evocative and a dream come true...
Thanks for the peek into your amazing world
