A different way home from work
Look what I saw because I took a different way home from work. The sun was low in the sky casting a surreal glow on this massive building. This crane dinosaur is destroying the old Scottish and Newcastle Brewery Building. I wonder if you get a sense of the scale of it?

Another building - a bit more intact thankfully and the reason why we won't be watching telly any time soon -the ariel has fallen off the roof! Here is Geoff evaluating the problem on Saturday. And there is my shed. I spent all day Sunday in my shed! Lovely.
Now that the hour has gone back - a strange and gloomy thing - I will only see my house in daylight on my days off work. So I'll check back here from time to time to remind myself.
Happy days everyone.

Your house and shed look nice. I hope Geoff was careful on the roof.

Hi Katie,
Isn't it awful having to come and go in the dark? I hate going to work before dawn!
Our clocks are changing a week later this year to fall in line with our American neighbours, so we still have relatively light early evenings at the moment.

Your home is beautiful and that shed looks so inviting.

I can hear the gnashing of dinosaur teeth from here.
Glad to see Geoff practising for Christmas, although reckon a bit more red is required for the costume.

When I saw on Maddy's that you were a Geordie I just had to come over and visit as I am married to one of them. Love your house.

There is something very ethereal about the early evenings. For the first time I actually welcome them. It won't be long until the solstice, when everything starts getting lighter. It makes one think that life is a bit short!
The shed looks so homely and comfy. I loved the R4 interview where you were talking about it.
