Another sensational day

I am so lucky to have such great weather on my weekend off work. Here is some more of the hawthorn hedge that is getting the chop. this picture certainly doesn't reflect the scratchy pig of a job this is turning into - I do the odd hour now and then and have a huge stack of trimmings to burn.
A walk with Poppy
and tonight we are having tea with Tim and Linda - so I have picked these and will find some apples and make one of these (not the mitten - the pie)
I'll stick a picture here if it turn out well.(it turned out really well - we ate it before I got a chance to photograph it - I'll just have to make another!)

Gosh aren't your berries late - ours have been all over and done with for weeks now - I managed some Jam but no apple and blackberry!

Mmmmm...pie. I love visiting your site- I'm stuck in Spain and the lovely pictures of the woods etc remind me of home. Keep 'em coming!
