Nostalgia Warning
Tonight John and I cooked the evening meal. John is twenty. I can't believe I have a twenty year old son but I do - and a twenty-one year old daughter who we are going to see tomorrow and a seventeen year old lad - but tonight, it was John and his Mum. He has an iPod with speakers and I have a huge stack of vinyl that I haven't played for years. We started to play a track each and had the best time.
Here we are with old and new technology and here is how the evening unfolded
Tiny Dancer - Elton John
Valerie - Amy Winehouse
See Emily Play - Pink Floyd
Karma Police - Radiohead
Suite Judy Blue Eyes - Crosby Stills and Nash
Boy From School - Hot Chip
Let It Grow - Eric Clapton
St.Simon - Shins
Pretty Little Martha - Loudon Wainwright
Porcelain - Moby
Little Green - Joni Mitchell
Apples and Oranges - Dogs Die in Hot Cars
I Know What I Like (in your wardrobe) - Genesis
Feel Good Inc - Gorillas
Martha My Dear - Beatles
and then the meal was ready .
What a wonderful evening!
Sounds like a lovely evening. And it's easy to see the family resemblance!

Reminds me of the times that my husband and I used to get out our old LP's playing fav tracks. Haven't done that for an age now. A bottle of wine and some vinyl seems like a great way to spend an evening!
