Weekly Roundup
The benefit of having your camera in your pocket all the time is that the odd and unusual gets captured as does the lovely and the funny.
So in no particular order....
The wind in my part of the world is Westerly. House builders have known this for long enough and here is the east and west side of the same house - a cottage about three miles from here
east facing
west facing..... not so stupid eh? Keeping the storms and rain out, it looks like its turned its back on the prevailing winds.
Here is another Morsbag sweatshop - only one more of these now and we'll have LOTS of bags to give away! Morsbags have been nominated for a green award - go and vote for them if you feel inclined.
Pauline has these guys for neighbours
Oscar and Oliver, Mr. B was somewhere else. I wonder why they don't cut their fringes when they shear them?
Now - what else? Last night I went out with my dear friends Elaine and Kathleen. It was their first visit to Wagamamas and Kathleen seemed to be having some difficulty with the concept! We decided that eating like this is a good way to lose weight.
Now - the sheepdog Davey - who we are considering as a worthy father to any puppies Poppy might have - neither of them know this yet, but I am sure they will both be thrilled, especially Davey. Here he is in action outside my shed window.
To round off this random post here is evidence that the Craft Gene is dominant in my darling daughter
the note with this says
'Mother, I was boiling some onions for Nigel's recipe and dyed some wool in the water. It looks like this. Love xx
And that's that for this week, except maybe to leave you with this from Julie - one of my knitting pals.... EXTERMINKIT!
Always thought a crafting daughter would be fun. It's those spur of the moment things that make crafting fun (must try the onion trick at tea time)
Keep up the good work with bags and I LOVE youor 'shed'

Hi Kate,
had a great time at wagamamas, obviously couldn't use the chop sticks but it didn't stop me eating quite a lot! Number 76 was a great choice. Whats this about puppies, you know you have to tell me if you have some, can i come and see them? don't know about Elaine though! lots of puppies might scare her to death. See you soon Kate.

Argh! All this talk of Wagamama is torture! There's nothing I wouldn't give for a Chicken Katsu Curry right now :D Love the sheep- I thought they were llamas at first. I'm also interested to know what the onion knitting smells like. Very impressive fair isle x

Hi, I have just discovered your blog via Zoe's and love the photos. I am fairly new to blogging (since September) and was also born in 1956!! Feel free to check out mine at http//sheilasteaandtoast.blogspot.com.
The tote bags shown on there were a scaled down version of the morsbag pattern. Sounds like you are doing a grand job with the bags at your end!

House-builders used to know what they were doing - it's a pity that nowadays we don't get more houses designed with functionality (and weather) in mind!
Your gal has definitely got the crafting gene and her onion-dyed wool looks lovely!

A knitted Dalek! Oh, I would kill for one of those... I think I may need to work on my knitting skills so I can make one of my own.
