My Year of Small Things
Welcome to this - my Year of Small Things - starting today - on the shortest day of the year - the day the year turns and begins again.
My decision to leave conventional employment and step into a simpler way of living was not an easy one to make, but in the end it made itself.
I now have stretching out before me a year of infinite possibilities, challenges, new connections, rediscovering and redefining.
I may have less of some things - money being the main one - but much more of others - time being the obvious one. And I hope to have more opportunity to notice the small things that usually pass me by as I rush from one place to another - always a bit late for this and in the wrong place for that.
Stop everything - slow right down - take it easy - notice more.
Come along for the journey - its going to be fun.

wonderful news. i am smiling a big smile! it is fun already.

will there be photos every day? I've been thinking about something like this too, specially of outdoor photos since I need to get walking/spend time outdoors more. :-) Little things are the best, beautiful photos!

I'll really look forward to reading your posts for your Year of Small Things. I stepped off the work 'treadmill' nearly four years ago and have never ever regretted it or looked back. I may have much less money but I am infinitely richer in so many ways.

Katie - great minds think alike. I have a yummy photo of a catoneastor covered in hore frost on my phone, which I took on my way to work last week. I am walking much more and am going to stop and look at those lovely small things more often
