Hello Katie, I've been reading your lovely blog for ages..(and I'm getting much more adventurous with colours thanks to your many beautiful pictures here) just posting to say I love the new look!

Who painted the picture of you in the shed? its lovely.

Love the banner - I can't figure out how to do that! How do you do it? I don't know how to do pictures in the middle, but you might want to email Cassi at belladia.typepad.com - she knows.

Oh, I like the new look! The painting of you is spectacular!

What a pleasant surprise to see your new banner when I opened the blog window. About pictures in the middle, now I'm no expert or even up to novice status, but I think if you widen the left margin's column, it'll right itself in the middle. (How's that for using all three directional words in one sentence?) Or use a different template.

hey, love the photo and the new look. to get the banner in the middle is a matter of size of the image. i think the space for the banner is something like 770 pixels, anyway if the picture is exactly the size of the space it will be centered. if you want white on both sides you can add a white space to the left side or both sides of the image ad that will fix the problem. (side border becomes part of the image) it is a bit of trial and error usually. am i confusing you?

ooh I loveit! so crisp and wintery and cozy too-
:)
what a lovely painting!

if you mean pictures in the middle of a post? I always use these tags around the image code typepad plops in -- the word "center" with traingle brackets infront and after the image code, and in the "center" after the code have / in front of the word. i cant type it as it just dissappears into code!
ugh-

i hope you can see that and it is not just code!

but then the banner- you could add white space on either side in photoshop so it looks centered....oops someone said that already!
:)

Your blog is looking lovely for the new colourscheme. And if I don't get to do it beforehand, Merry Christmas to you and yours - I hope it is everything you want it to be :)
