How to lift the January Blues!

Wet, cold, dark outside. But there is fabric inside! On May 13th 2006 we last did this. Why so long to do it again? Our village hall - twenty or so women - SO much fabric - mat frames - simple tools and imagination!

the little sparkly bits are the packets of her son's favourite snack!

Valentine's day round the corner - Ali getting ready. I love what printed cotton fabric looks like when hooked like this.

Elmo - born in 2007 - this is about two feet square

this stuff makes my mouth water.
If you have checked out the last time we did this, there was food today too

All good - very very good.

Yep, ya 'hooked' me into commenting...cuz I really really like this craft and yet have never begun, other than purchasing a yummy book on primitive patterns. Just can't justify the time to take on another hobby. But certainly enjoy looking at pics of those who do!

Oh! Wish I could have been there too - looks like my kind of day! Lucy x

That looks like fun, how do you do that?

You always have such lovely crafting days - I'm envious. :D Looks like loads of fun and yummy food, too.

I've seen people rug hooking and always wanted to try it. What a fun weekend!

Oh Katie - It looks like you had such good fun. I want to come and do it next time !!

What a fantastic way to spend the day !

the back is great!

Definitely looks like the perfect antidote to the January blues - what a feast for the eyes and the tummy!

What fun! I love the rugs.

very creative work.

I love seeing the creativity in your group!! I love how you are hooking with all kinds of things....very inspiring!!!

How beautiful. I also read your blog from last year but I would still love to know how you get the rag strips through the material and what type of material or is it hessian that you use. Do you know of any sites that explain the technique. Thankyou so much for the inspiration.
