BTA nine - Germany - Munich
We're on the home straight now - from Salzburg to Munich - not a long journey - and a huge European city a bit like any other huge European city - Sheila was right - we should have gone to Budapest - a bit more planning needed I think - anyway - Munich was lovely too and I sought out the fabric shops, the wool shops and the markets. And the huge cathedral with stunning windows.
apologies to this poor woman who just fancied a sit down with her shopping, but her 'friend' made me smile.
Not long here, then another sleeper to our final destination
...Amsterdam

Long trip, would you do it again? I wish I could have sampled some of the markets you have been to. :-)
I want to see what you made on the train trips, or did you not manage to finish anything?

Lovely photos and commentary of your Eurail trip - I am a 25yr old New Zealander about to leave home for London, and hoping to Eurail so your posts have been inspirational. Two more weeks to go before my flight, so I'm excited but nervous! Thank you.

Your trip sounds and looks wonderful - it must have been lovely to spend the time with your son and to visit such far-flung (to me!) places. Great photos.
