Art Tour 2008
What a glorious day. The sun shone, the people came, the shed looked magnificent and Annie and I had a very lovely day. The shed is my haven of creativity and a place to escape from the everyday world. It was so lovely to be able to share it with some like minded people.
some of today's images were taken by professional photographer Paul Harris during a visit to my shed for Art tour publicity - this is one of them - this is another
Here is the popular line - 'A Bag a Book and a Bar' which is fairly descriptive of what you get. A bag (made out of an old bit of curtain) a book that I have enjoyed - registered on Book Crossing and a bar of Fair Trade chocolate. The perfect treat!
Something for everyone - well - except some less textile inclined men - but for them - there is Geoff's workshop, so there really is something for everyone!
If you are in the area, please call by - the Village Hall is hosting three very talented artists - Mandy, Mike and Jill and of course - The ever popular Garden Station, who ran out of cake yesterday because they were so busy! You can be certain that won't happen again!
Now I have to work out how to do the sizing of these photos on the new Typepad template - these look all over the place - but it is sunny and there is a rabbit getting into the vegetable garden - so finding the hole in the fence is priority!
Enjoy your week!
If I were able I would definately be dropping in for a bit of this'n'that, I hope the kettle was on all weekend too.

I so wish I lived closer as I'd have loved to have come along. It looks like a fabulous time and the shed is absolutely resplendant - a real treasure trove of goodies. I'm glad you enjoyed the day.

I also wish I lived closer. The brooch is really nice Katie. Sounds like you all had a fantastic day.

So pleased you had a wonderful sunny day today. Love the bags, and that necklace made from plastic knitting needles (I assume) is amazing!
Glad it went so well.

I absolutely love your idea of "a bag, a book, and a bar." The bags are so cute, too. Do you sell them online?
I wish I lived closer because I would have loved to have seen your shed and all of your lovely creations in person!
Have a great week.

You need to invite a Mr McGregor over for tea to get some ideas on how to scare off 'Peter!'

I think I found it - just as I was thinking I might have to call myself Mrs Mcgregor I saw the huge gap under the gate.........

Your shed "shop" looks wonderful I'd definetly be tempted to buy.

Katie!
Thank you, you're kind to reply. I am typing this from my hotel in Paris, don't worry I just had to come up for air because beautiful Paris just makes me gasp. I think I have already worn out my shoes... Discovered a shop called La Droguerie which you would love, close to Les Halles Metro. I spent a small fortune in antique buttons there, it is a crafter's treasure trove.
